Mr. Robert Lee, age 84, of Sakonnet Bay Manor, 1215 Main Rd. Tiverton, RI, died on Monday, October 28, 2002 at Newport Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Dorothy Parker Lee. Born in 1918 in Belfast, Ireland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Diane Stewart Lee. He was a resident of New Britain before moving to Kensington Connecticut in 1952. He also summered in Jerusalem Rhode Island since 1964, and spent winters in Frederiksted St. Croix for the past twenty years. Mr. Lee was an Army Veteran of World War ll. He was formerly employed in the sales and marketing division of Stanley Tools, retiring in 1977 as Manager of Retail Sales. He then served as President of Basic Service Corporation, the Sonitrol Security dealership in Rhode Island. He was also a member of the South Congregational-First Baptist Church of New Britain since 1930. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert P. Lee of Swansea Massachusetts, 3 daughters, Dorothy Hutchins of Honolulu Hawaii, Virginia Lee of Pawtucket Rhode Island, and Barbara Watson of Hong Kong China. He also has 10 grandchildren, Troy Talbot, Steven Talbot, Wayne Talbot, Aaron Hutchins, Nathan Hutchins, Robert B. Lee, Jeremy Lee, Katharine Watson, William Watson, and Charles Watson. He also has 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 2, 2002 at 10:30 AM at the South Congregational-First Baptist Church, 90 Main St. New Britain Connecticut. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday November 1, 2002 at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
