Robert William Kaiser

Robert William Kaiser, 90, of Cheshire, a former Berlin resident and widower of Charlotte (Durocher) Kaiser, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at the Hospital of Central CT, Southington Campus. Born in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late John and Mabel (Eibler) Kaiser. He was a long time Berlin resident, moving to Cheshire in 1997. Robert was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed at Anchor Hocking Corporation in Lancaster, OH. Robert enjoyed his time coaching YMCA swimming and gymnastics and coaching Berlin Little League. He will be remembered as a great father who always had time for his boys. Surviving are four sons, Bruce A. Kaiser and his wife Gina of Dunedin, FL, Glenn W. Kaiser of Palm Harbor, Fl, Charles R. Kaiser and his wife Vicky of Villa Rica, GA, David R. Kaiser and his wife Cathy of Berlin; and his companion, Rita King of Cheshire. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire. Burial, with military honors, will be Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
