Robert F. Depaiva

Robert F. DePaiva, 72, of New Britain, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Irene Keiko DePaiva. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Virginio and Mary Stahelic DePaiva. Robert has been a New Britain resident most of his life. He worked in Purchasing at Fafnir Bearing, retiring 15 years ago. Robert was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the US Air Force. Surviving are his three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert T. and Jeanne DePaiva of Southington, Thomas R. and Louise Hutchinson of Southington, Kenneth and Marilou Hutchinson of Newington, his grandchildren, Robin and Samantha DePaiva, Michele Brysgel and her husband Matthew Forbotnick, Heather Szul and her husband Luke, Elise Brysgel, Kristen Sirois, Jessica Brunetti and her husband Justin, and Jennifer Hutchinson, two nieces Sandra and Debra Palazzola. Robert was predeceased by his sisters Florence DePaiva and Dolores Palazzola. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial, with full Military Honors, will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
