Robert Boucher, 74, of Newington, passed away peacefully surrounded with love in his home, Thursday, December 29, 2005 joining his late wife Laurette Lessard Boucher with love and devotion into eternity. Born in Notre Dame des Bois, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of the late Edmour and Rose Pratte Boucher. His first job in the states was as a lumberjack for the building of the New York thruway. He lived for 16 yrs in Hartford, and in Newington for over 30 years working as a carpenter. He is a veteran of the United States Army. Robert was a member of Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree since 1961 and a member of Holy Spirit Church. He leaves his daughter Lucy Boucher of Newington and her children, Leah Kenny of New Britain, Bill Kenny and his wife Sue of Kodiak Island, Alaska, his son Richard Boucher of Quebec, his daughter Linda Thayer of CO along with 17 grandchildren, Bill and Leah Kenny, Linnel, Chantel, Ranger, Germaine, Juline, Carmen, Coleen, Ryder, Randy & Robert Boucher, Stephanie, Caleb, Jean-Marc, Gunnison, and Charissa Thayer, 9 great grandchildren and 6 Godchildren, two brothers Marcel and Roland Boucher, two sisters Therese Roy and Evette Boucher all of Quebec and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law. Robert was predeceased by siblings Jeannette, Raymond and Andre. Lucy would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the EH VNA team especially Iris, Rose, Jim, Velma and Barbara for their dedicated care. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday January 7, 2006 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church, 183 Church St., Newington. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of CT, 111 Founders Plaza, 2nd Floor, East Hartford, CT 06108.
