Robert A. Peterson

Robert A. Peterson, 90, of Westbrook, CT, widower of Elizabeth (Corbett) Peterson, died on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Albin and Mary (Watt) Peterson.  He was a graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1943 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the US and Europe.  He was a long time employee of Honeywell, Inc.  Robert lived in New Britain, Forestville and Newington before moving to Westbrook in 1976.  He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Westbrook.  He was a long time member of the Town of Westbrook Conservation Commission and the Inland/Wetland Commission.

He is survived by his son Eric, daughter-in-law Pauline, and his grandchildren Christina and Jonathan.  He was predeceased by his son, Glenn Watt Peterson in 1975.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 12:30 pm at the First Congregational Church of Westbrook.  Memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
