Richard Linton Dilleshaw, Jr.

Richard Linton Dilleshaw Jr., 52, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2006 at home. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was a New Britain resident most of his life and was formerly employed at Southern Connecticut State University. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard was a member of St. Joseph Church and the VFW Post 511. Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Dilleshaw and a son, Jason Dilleshaw, both of New Britain; his grandson, Jonathan with whom he especially enjoyed spending time; and a niece, Hope Kadish. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home. Friends and relatives are invited to gather on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home for a procession to Fairview Cemetery where committal services with military honors will take place.
