Raymond J. Kelly, of Kensington, husband of the late Margaret Mulvey Kelly, died March 24, 2003. Born April 12, 1909, he was the son of the late Arthur and Katherine St. John Kelly. He was a former member of the Hartford City Council and also held office as the president of the Hartford Board of Education. Raymond was active at one time at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Hartford and the Hibernian Society. He and was member of St. Paul's Church in Kensington. He was also a member of the Avon Country Club, the City Club of Hartford, and the Wethersfield Country Club. He is survived by a daughter, Maureen K. O'Reilly of Kensington, two grandchildren, Kelly O'Reilly Considine and her husband John of Stamford and Biff J. O'Reilly and his wife Jeanne of Greenwich; two great-grandsons, Christopher O'Reilly and Edward O'Reilly, also of Greenwich; two brothers, Arthur Kelly and his wife Edith of Avon, and Richard Kelly and his wife Rita of St. Lucie, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Kelly. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 3-6 PM at the funeral home.
