Raymond J. Godin

Raymond Godin, 61, of New Britain, CT, formerly of Caribou, ME passed away at home on December 17, 2022.

Ray (the 18 th of 20 children) leaves behind many brothers and sisters. His dozens of nieces and nephews affectionately called him Uncle Ray. He was preceded in death by his parents Alphy Godin and Aurore (Corbin) Godin, brothers: Paul and Joseph Godin, sisters: Viola Godin, Jean (Godin) Moreau, Theresa (Godin) Legere, and Leola (Godin) Grondin.

Ray was a proud member of the Iron Workers Local 424 in New Haven, CT. His union brothers will miss him.

Ray loved the outdoors - whether cutting trees or hunting in Maine. He loved to keep busy – from working on his many trucks to using a variety of tools in his welding shop. He always had multiple projects going at once and loved to share his progress with friends and family.

His favorite hobby was riding his Harley Fat Boy. At every opportunity you could find him out for a ride. In the spring, summer, and fall, you always knew when Ray was in the neighborhood!

Ray always had a smile on his face, and was always eager to help anyone, anytime. Ray will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.

The Godin family would like to thank Ray’s good friend Paul Calafiore for everything he did for Ray in the long time that they were friends.
