Randy Arthur Conger, 45, of East Berlin, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, March 9, 2006 at home. Born in New Britain, he was a resident of East Berlin most of his life. He was a graduate of Berlin High School. He was employed as a Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service. Randy was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and served as President in the Postal Union of Rural Carriers. Randy will be remembered as someone who was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. He especially enjoyed restoring and working on his vehicles. Surviving are his mother, Arline Heinzmann Conger of Higganum, a sister, Cheryl Salce of Cromwell and her fianc, Bill Fritz; his niece and nephew, Jennifer Salce and Jake Fritz; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy's father, Arthur H. Conger, died Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2006 after a long illness. Funeral services for both Randy and Arthur, will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in Wilcox Cemetery, East Berlin. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1103 Chamberlain Hwy, Kensington, CT 06037.
