Ramon A. Marquez

Ramon A. Marquez, 37, of New Britain, husband of Heather Marquez, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a New Britain resident for the past 20 years.  He was formerly employed as an auto mechanic and was a member of Divine Providence Parish at St. Joseph Church.  Ramon loved anything to do with cars and was a New York Yankees fan.

Surviving are his wife, Heather (Moorcroft) Marquez; his daughter, Eliza Marquez; his son, Ramon Marquez Jr.;  his parents, Carlos A. Marquez and Gloria Marquez; two brothers, Carlos Marquez Jr. and Nicholas Marquez; a sister, Judy Cox and her husband Kenneth; his mother-in-law, Beth Nigro and her husband Richard Nigro; father-in-law, Robert Moorcroft Jr.; brother-in-law, Robert Moorcroft; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at Divine Providence Parish at St. Joseph Church.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
