Ramon Luis "Negro" "Rambo" Ortiz, 55, of New Britain, died Wednesday at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Carmen Ayala of Puerto Rico and the late Luis Ortiz. He was formerly employed at Lener's Landscaping for many years. He was a member of St. Mary Church. He will be remembered as happy and friendly person, always filled with good humor who loved music and dancing salsa. He is survived by his wife, Milagro Rios Ortiz deaf, three daughters, Mariely D. Ortiz and Milagros Ortiz, both of New Britain and Enid Ortiz of Puerto Rico; nineteen brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico, seven grandchildren, Esquiel, Genesi, Onyx, Jensy, Ruby, Donavan, and Jada; sisters-in-law, Gloria, Hilda, Aurora; brothers-in-law, Julio, Domingo, Pedro, Jesus, Ale, Grillermo, Wilfredo, and David; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was predeceased by four brothers and sisters, a sister-in-law, Cecelia, and four grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-9 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Funeral services and burial will be in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.
