Rachel Chasse

Rachel Chasse, 79, of New Britain, died peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Brittany Farms Health Center. Born in St. Agatha, ME, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Yvonne Fraser Chasse. She was a New Britain resident for over 40 years and was a former resident of the Burritt House Apartments and St. Lucian's Home. She was employed for 20 years at The Stanley Works, retiring in 1987. Surviving are four nieces and two nephews, Rachel Murawski of Harwinton, Rita Fletcher of Southington, Daniel Collin of New Britain, Charlene France of Wolcott, Debra Nelson of Mashpee, MA, James Collin of New Britain; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Fernande Collin, formerly of New Britain A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday morning at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. from 9:00 AM until departure for church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church.
