Providencia Dejesus

Providencia DeJesus, 78, of New Britain, died peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gaspar DeJesus and Juana Montanez. She was a New Britain resident since 1972. Surviving are three children, Juan Vazquez Jr. and Luz I. Vazquez, both of New Britain, and Maria L. Dudzinski of Newington; four brothers, Felipe DeJesus, Lucas DeJesus, and Gaspar DeJesus, all of Puerto Rico, and Miguel DeJesus of New Britain; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carmen L. Barrows. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday, from 10-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
