Phyllis Ann (Thoren) Forsberg, 88, of Berlin, formerly of New Britain and Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was the widow of Roger Alex Forsberg.
Born in New Britain on Nov. 16, 1929, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Vasti (Carlson) Thoren. She was a New Britain resident a good portion of her life, a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1947 and went on to attend Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, graduating in 1952. Phyllis was a graphic artist in New York City and other places in her career. In 1989 she married Roger Alex Forsberg and they became members of Bethany Covenant Church. In 1995 they moved to Leesburg, FL and enjoyed the warm weather together before Roger died in 2009.
Phyllis is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Janice L. and Herbert Speer of Kensington, her nieces Dawn C. Speer and Heather Carlino, her nephews Scott Speer and his wife Dawn Marie and Drew Speer and his wife Renee, several grand nieces and nephews, her step daughter Lauren Olson Sidford, her step grandchildren, Nathan, Anders, Ingrid and William. She was predeceased by her sister Beverly J. Thoren and her step daughter Susan Wyman.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The private burial will be in the Forsberg family plot at Courser Hill Cemetery, Webster, NH. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
