Phyllis Bosco Brady died on January 22 at Jerome Home in New Britain, where she lived for the past five months. Prior to that she was at her home in New Britain, the city where she lived all of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Edmund Westbrook Brady. As a young woman, she worked alongside her husband as a bookkeeper for the business they owned, The Hotel Burritt Garage in New Britain. She was a graduate of Moody Secretarial School. She is survived by a brother, Louis Mele of California; her nieces and nephews, George and Benedict Flynn of West Hartford, Jean Flynn Kellog of PA, Ellie Filippone of Watertown, Lisa Yovino of Kensington, June Becker of CA, Michele Champagne of PA, Thomas Bosco and his wife Tammy of Berlin, Tina Bosco Irizarry and Michael Bosco of New Britain. Other survivors include her many grand nieces and nephews and great grand nephew who were graced by her presence in their lives and her love for them. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice Church, New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Americares or the American Red Cross for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
