Petra Ortiz

Petra Ortiz, 99, of New Britain, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. She was the widow of Francisco Ortiz Beltran. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan Vazquez and Isabel Rodriguez. She was a New Britain resident for over 20 years and was a member of the Christian Pentecostal Church. Surviving are her children, Maria Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Manuel Beltran, Franklin Ortiz, Jose L. Ortiz, Jose A. Beltran, William Ortiz, and Luz Maria Ortiz. She was predeceased by two children, Francisca Ortiz and Ana Ortiz. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 7-9 PM.
