Peter James Bosco, 80, of Southington, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005 at home. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Angelo and Giatana Bosco. He was a long-time New Britain resident before moving to Southington ten years ago. Peter was the owner of the former Peacock Market in New Britain He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a member and past president of the former Independent Political Club in New Britain. Peter's greatest loves in his life were his family and golf. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Rose Gilberto Bosco; a son James Bosco and his wife Maureen of Simsbury; two daughters, Rosemarie Cianci of Southington and Patricia McCormack and her husband Raymond of Southington; a sister, Paula DelCegno of New Britain; a brother, Patrick Bosco of Chicago; a sister-in-law, Judy Bosco of Kensington; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Peter J. Bosco, Jr. and two brothers, Salvatore and Joseph Bosco. Private funeral services were held on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain. Burial, with military honors, will be in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
