Perfecto Valles

Perfecto Valles, 78, resident of San German, Puerto Rico and former resident of New Britain passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the comfort of his sister’s home surrounded by loved ones.

Born in San German, Puerto, he was the son of the late Mercedes Valles and Juan Rosado.  Perfecto was an active and devoted parishioner of St. Mary Church, New Britain and the Chapel of St. Martin of Porres in Cain Alto, San German, Puerto Rico.  He worked for many years at Klingberg Family Center and was a taxi driver in New York City.  He was an excellent cook and an avid fan of the New York Mets.  Perfecto enjoyed playing dominoes with his daughter Lucy and his family in his countryside home in Puerto Rico.

Surviving are his beloved brothers and sisters, Inocencia, Aurea, Brigida, Maria, José Justo, Wilfredo, José Ramon, Johnny, Juan and many nephews, nieces and grandchildren and his children, Edgardo, Rosario, Perfecto Jr., José, and Lucy.

Perfecto’s sister, Inocencia would like to extend her heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Jerzy Jedrychowski, his staff, and to Hospice caregivers, Diane Syskys, Jennifer, Shannon, Suzanne Rosenberg and Phyllip who with compassion and love provided medical care and assistance.  In addition, to the parish community of St. Mary, New Britain for their love and prayers.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday (today) from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main Street, New Britain.  Funeral services and calling hours will follow in San German, Puerto Rico at Aviles Funeral Home.  Burial will take place in Porta Coeli Cemetery in San German, Puerto Rico, alongside his mother.
