Pedro "Tito" Velez Jr.

Pedro "Tito" Velez Jr., age 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024 with his children by his side.

He was born April 16, 1961, in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, to Pedro Velez and Lucila Casiano. He was a 1980 graduate of New Britain High School.  He worked as a machinist with IMI Precision Engineering for 20 years, displaying exactly what it meant to be a diligent and committed hard worker. He was happiest spending time with his family and had an undeniably big heart. Pedro will be remembered by his unwavering ability to make those around him laugh.  He deeply cared for his loved ones and will be greatly missed.

Pedro is predeceased by his father Pedro Velez and brother Michael Velez. He is survived by his mother Lucila Casiano, stepfather Carlos Gil, brother Luis Velez, sister Annette Velez, daughter Tara Velez, sons Brian and Emmanuel Velez, grandchildren Ajah Homar, Neison Homar Jr., Serenity Velez and Isaac Velez, a great-granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends, whose lives Pedro touched are invited to Erickson and Hansen Funeral Home Sunday, April 7th from 1-3 PM for a memorial service honoring and celebrating Pedro's life.
