Paula Gurlin

Paula Gurlin, 81, of Newington passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.  She was the widow of Paul Gurlin.

Born in Cranston, RI, she was the daughter of the late August and Elizabeth (Wolfe) Orioli.  Paula was a former New Britain resident before moving to Newington 28 years ago.  She was formerly employed at the State of CT Labor Department before retiring.  Anyone who knew Paula, knew that she loved to shop and take trips to Vermont.

Surviving are her daughter, Lori Basigalup and her husband Gus of Newington; two grandchildren, Matthew Basigalup and Tyler Basigalup; a great-grandson, Gage Amor Basigalup; a brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Martin; and a niece, a nephew and their spouses and children.  She was predeceased by her sister, Georgianne (Orioli) Martin.

Services are private and there are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
