Paula Gagliardi

Paula Gagliardi, 86, widow of Paul Gagliardi, of New Britain passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022 at her home after a long illness.  Paula was born July 30, 1936 in Libya to the late Angela and Salvatore Miano, previously residing in Italy before settling in New Britain, CT.

In addition to raising her children, Paula was the proprietor of Paula’s Needle Den in West Harford, CT for over 35 years. This business brought great joy to her life as she loved her clientele, and they loved her in return.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Boy and her husband Roger of Punta Gorda, Florida; her son, Marco Gagliardi and his wife Tiffany of Cromwell, CT; sister, Luci Scerrato of Farmington, CT; brother, Joseph Miano and his wife Natalina of New Britain, CT; brother in law, Joseph Scerrato of Farmington, CT; sister in law, Maria Costanzo; brother in law, Ruggero Perri;  grandchildren, Justin Talalaj and his wife Eleni, Joshua Boy, Jeremy Boy, Daniel and Matthew Gagliardi; and three beautiful great grandchildren, Olivia and Royce Talalaj and Allisianna Gagliardi; and many nieces and nephews.  Paula was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Ninna and Carmelo Gagliardi; brother in law, Carmelo Costanzo; sister in law, Palmina Perri; brother in law, Felice Gagliardi; and a special niece, Cynthia DeConti.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Beth Hayden, her loving caretaker of 7 years who always went above and beyond for Paula.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.  Entombment will be in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation is on Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.  Donations in Paula’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
