Patrick Edward Deegan

Patrick Edward Deegan, 61, of Kensington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Joanne (Edgerton) Deegan of Moodus and the late Joseph E. Deegan. Pat was a former New Britain and East Berlin resident before recently moving to Kensington. Pat was a self-employed painter. Surviving are a son, Michael Deegan and his wife Kari of Kensington; his mother, Joanne Deegan of Moodus; three special grandchildren, Karissa, Michael Jr. and Nathan; two brothers, Gary Deegan and his wife Joanne of Moodus, Joseph Deegan Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Indianapolis, IN; his former wife, Joanne (Piera) Deegan of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ryan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 4 at 9 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
