Pablo Pichardo

Pablo Pichardo, 86, of West Hartford, passed away on August 30, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital.  Pablo was the devoted husband of Dominga (Paulino) Pichardo.

He was born on August 6, 1939 in the Dominican Republic to the late Emerito and Rosa Delia (Paulino) Pichardo.  Pablo was a resident of New York City and Hartford before settling in West Hartford.  He was employed as a tailor by J. Fashion Couture in NYC and served in the Dominican Republic Air Force.

Pablo was a parishioner of Saint Augustine Church in Hartford and was active in the Knights of Columbus and the Dominican Society of Connecticut.  He enjoyed baseball and also spent a lot of time reading.  Pablo will be remembered as a wonderful coach who shared his wisdom with many.

In addition to his wife Dominga, he is survived by two daughters, Alba and her husband Ivo Jaquez II of West Hartford and Nurys and her husband Justo of Providence, Rhode Island; two grandchildren, Ivo Jaquez III and Carlo Adrien Jaquez; a brother, Sergio Pichardo of the Dominican Republic; and a sister, Gina Pichardo of Chicago, IL.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at St. Francis Hospital for their care of Pablo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd., New Britain. Calling hours are Friday, September 5, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
