Pablo Feliciano, 74, of New Britain, beloved husband of Maria Alvarez Feliciano, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Lajas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Pablo and Espifania Feliciano. Pablo was a resident of New Britain for the past 40 years and was employed as an assistant superintendent at Tunxis Plantation Country Club. He was a member of St. Mary Church in New Britain. Surviving are his beloved wife, Maria Feliciano; three daughters Miriam Blake and her husband Winston of Windsor, Betsy Betterini and her husband Larry of Berlin, Wanda Garcia of New Britain; a son Freddy Rodriguez of New Britain; eight grandchildren, Anthony Blake, Adam Blake, Gabriella Blake, Fernando Garcia, Lawrence Betterini, Eve Betterini Melissa Garcia, and Eduardo Garcia; four great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Aariela, Isaiah, and Jayleah; and four children in Puerto Rico. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Elizabeth Garcia and by his brothers, Ismael and Angel Feliciano and his sister Anna Feliciano. Pablo worked for the Tomasso family for forty years and formed close friendships with Charlie, Rodney, J.P., and Chris during his employment. Pablo's family would like to thank the Tomasso family for these years of employment and for their many kindnesses extended to Pablo and his family over the years. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours are Sunday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
