Oluf "Ollie" E. Winger, Jr., 63, of Plainville, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General. Born and raised in Honolulu, Waianae, HI, he was the son of the late Oluf Winger, Sr. and Lily Uina Kuakini. He was a Plainville resident for the past 23 years and former resident of Lindenhurst, LI, NY. Ollie was a tree surgeon and owner/operator of Ollie's Tree Service. Surviving are his wife, Gloria King; three sons, Eric Winger and his wife Nancy of CT, Jason Winger of VA, Matthew Winger VA, and a daughter, Jennifer Molina of SC. Also, two brothers Samuel "Teddy" Winger and Francis Winger and two sisters, Momi Sonognini and Cecelia Kuakini, all of Hawaii: six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Marcelyn King; brothers-in-law and sisters in law, David and Judy Hungerford, Ronnie and Sharon King; and his nephews and niece Will, Ralph "RJ", and Emily Hungerford. A memorial service will be held in Hawaii at a later date. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
