Norman C. Manthey, 68, of Kensington, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 at MidState Medical Center. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Theodore and Edith Knopf Manthey. He was a life long Kensington resident and was a graduate of Berlin High School. Norman was an Army Veteran and was formerly employed as a truck driver before retiring. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth N. and Janet Manthey of Kensington; a sister, Barbara Manthey of Berlin; and three grandchildren, Garrett, Ryan and Kendra Manthey. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday today from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran School, 330 Church St., Hebron or to St. Matthew's Lutheran School, 87 Franklin Sq., New Britain.
