Norman Davis, Jr.

Norman Davis Jr., 60, of New Britain, husband of Caroline Bellantuono Davis, died Tuesday, Sept 29, 2009 at Hartford Hospital after a long illness. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Norman Davis Sr., and Lena Capello Davis. He was a New Britain resident for over 30 years and was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Friendly's Restaurants. He was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in New Britain and was a volunteer firefighter in Stony Creek. In addition to his wife Caroline, he is survived by two daughters, Melissa Devanney and her husband Michael, and Lisa Davis, all of New Britain; four brothers, Joel Davis of New Haven, Frank Davis of Wallingford, Peter Davis of Stony Creek, and John Davis of Branford; a sister, Lena Davis of New Haven; a grandson, Noah Devanney; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Hartford Hospital for their loving care. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ, Congregational, 192 Thimble Island Rd, Stony Creek. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours are Thursday TODAY from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain.
