Norma Irizarry

Norma Irizarry, 71, of New Britain, passed away at home on May 28, 2025. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Heriberto Irizarry.  She was born in Adjuntas, PR on November 1, 1953 to the late Ramon and Blanca (Perez) Acevedo. Norma is predeceased by her first born Sandra Irizarry.

She enjoyed adult coloring, embroidery, and taking care of children especially her grandchildren.  She loved and adored each of them and devoted her time caring for them.

Norma will be forever missed by her husband, Heriberto Irizarry; her children Evelyn Irizarry and her husband Lucas Acevedo, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Heriberto Irizarry Jr and his significant other Yanira Segarra; 6 grandchildren, Kyleen Velez, Felicity Irizarry, Isaac Irizarry, Jazleen Acevedo, Lucas Acevedo Jr and Alberto (Paco) Rodriguez; and her 2 great-grandchildren Irie Vicente and Ayla Alston.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main Street, New Britain. Funeral services are Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain
