Norma June Deetsh

N. June Deetsh, 77, of New Britain, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Walter Deetsh, who died in 1994. Born in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Hicken Pauly. She was a former Newport RI and Southington resident before moving to New Britain over 40 years ago. She was formerly employed at Stanley Works. June was a member and treasurer of Laurel Court #8, Order of the Amaranth and a member of Daughters of the Nile. She was a Past Royal Matron of Laurel Court #8, and was a Past Grand Royal Matron as well. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Monahan and her husband Thomas Monahan of Burlington, Sandra Mondino and her husband, Dr. Bartley Mondino of Sherman Oaks, CA; a brother, Charles Pauly of New Britain; a sister, Kathryn Smith of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Kara Mondino and Kristen Mondino, both of Sherman Oaks, CA, Garrett Ramy of Goldsboro, NC and Gannon Ramy of Ft. Wayne, IN; a great granddaughter, who was the love of her life, Madison Ramy; a close friend, Adrienne Manning of West Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Calling hours are Thursday from 6-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
