Netta Faticone

Netta Sebastiana Sastri Faticoni, 68, of Newington, died Friday, August 16, 2002 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Faticoni. Born in Italy, she lived in New Britain before moving to Newington in 1971. Netta worked at Corbin Russell in a secretarial capacity. She was a member of St. Ann's Church. She was a past National and State President of the Italian American War Veterans Auxiliary of the United States. Netta was also a member of Order of the Sons of Italy, the Auxiliary of VFW Post 511, past President of the Auxiliary of D.A.V. #8, and in the Auxiliary of I.T.A.M Post #2. Netta was the Secretary of the Columbian Federation. She served as the V.A.V.S. Representative for the State I.T.A.M., Newington VA and Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital. In addition to her husband Alfred, Netta is survived by her sister Sophie Aubin of New Britain and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Vincent Sastri. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 511 will conduct a service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Ann's Church, 47 Clark St. New Britain, CT 06051.
