Nelson Ouellette, 69, of New Britain, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the beloved husband of the late Angie Stone Ouellette. Born in St. John, Maine, he was the son of the late Edwin and Mabel Keaton Ouellette. Nelson was a Connecticut resident most of his life, and was a former resident of Bristol and Wolcott before moving to New Britain. He was a US Army Veteran and was formerly employed at Shepherd Steel in Hartford. Nelson enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are three daughters, Lois Ouellette and her partner David Simpson, Jeanine Laferriere and her partner Kenneth Wardsworth , and Lynne Rapisarda and her husband Joseph, all of New Britain; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edmund and Winnie Ouellette, Kenneth and Mae Ouellette; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern Michaud, Jane and Willie Michaud, Bernice Yorke, Geraldine and Dana Bartlett, Barbara and David Caron; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Kenesha, Joseph, Justina, Olivia, Breyana, Nathan, and Kenneth; and a great-granddaughter, Adriana. He was predeceased by a brother, Claude Ouellette and a sister Evelyn Martin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Jerome Church. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
