Nancy J. Gustafson, 47, of Stafford Springs, formerly of Newington, was lifted into Heaven by the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2006 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Britain, she was a former Newington resident before moving to Stafford Springs in 2002. She was a graduate of Newington High School and the University of Connecticut. Nancy was employed at Brooks as a Pharmacist and was also a Creative Memories Consultant. She was a member of Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin. Nancy loved the outdoors and her dog Bandit. Her passions included golf, skiing, scuba diving, and Creative Memories. Surviving are her devoted and loving husband, John C Mackintosh; her mother, Loretta "Jane" Appel King of Moultonborogh New Hampshire; a sister Virginia "Ginny" Murphy of Ashland, NH; a brother, Craig Gustafson and his wife Lucy of Center Harbor, NH; her mother-in-law, Mary E. Mackintosh of Agawam MA; her sister-in-law, Mary K. Mackintosh of Chicopee, MA; and her nieces and nephews, Sven and Kira Gustafson, Timothy and Jessica Murphy. She was predeceased by her father, Carl F. Gustafson, who she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St. Berlin.
