Muriel Schneider

Muriel Schneider died on Saturday, March 8 with her family at her side and the birds she so enjoyed at the feeder outside her window. She was born in Connecticut in 1926 and was a lifelong Lutheran. Muriel was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. She radiated hospitality and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her home was wherever the family was together - Connecticut, Cape Cod and in later years Florida. Always involved in the community, she volunteered at Avery Heights Nursing Home and was active in many activities at church including evangelism, Vacation Bible School, Synod conventions, making quilts, knitting mittens and the Potluck Group. Muriel is survived by Wes her husband of 64 years, her daughter Lynn Newman and her husband Bob (Gainesville, FL), son Scott and his wife Marina (Gilsum, NH), and grandchildren Heather Ubbens and Colby Schneider. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, Connecticut. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 310 Route 137, Harwich, MA.
