Merinda Seich, of Kensington, beloved wife of Richard Seich, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004 at New Britain General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Faustino and Alice Zucchi. She was a resident of Kensington most of her life. Merinda was formerly employed as an accountant, working hat Atlantic Tool, Costello Industries, George Tomasso Co., Goldsmith's Floor Covering, and United Cerebral Palsy before retiring. She served as a volunteer at Peck Memorial Library and Griswold School. Merinda was a member of St. Joseph Church. In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Skwiot of Kensington; her beloved grandchildren, Karley Skwiot and Richie Skwiot; a brother, Foster Zucchi of Kensington; and a sister Martha Cadrain of Meriden. She was a source of inspiration and comfort to her three generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Zucchi and by two sisters, Mildred Rosso and Marion Davis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
