Maryann Jones

Maryann Jones, 72, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 28, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Diorio; her son, Anthony Diorio; and three grandchildren, Kayli Diorio, Skylar Diorio, and Alexis Diorio and their mother, Kassi Diorio. She is also survived by her loving sister, Leona Steele; three very special nephews and a niece; and her best friend, Mary Alice. She was predeceased by her mother, Veronica Yatsco and by her father, George Yatsco. Maryann worked for many years for a pediatrician practice and became a lifelong friend with her employer, Nima Patel. Maryann loved the outdoors and camping. She made many friends at Nelsons Campground in East Hampton over the years and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Maurice Church. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
