Mary "Tisha" (Szczur) Dabrowski, 95, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday. She was the widow of Eugene C. Dabrowski. Born in East Hampton, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Kuza) Szczur. Mary has been a New Britain resident most of her life, moving here when she was 8 years old. She worked as an Audit Clerk for Sears and Robuck, retiring in 1982. Mary was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Holy Cross Ladies Guild and the New Britain Catholic Women. She volunteered for Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joyce Dabrowski of Berlin, her four granddaughters, Donna Cully and her husband Shawn of Bristol, Debra Rooney and her husband Kevin of Ferrisburg, VT, Christine Mobley and her husband Ken of Virginia Beach, VA, Laureen Swets and her husband Steven of Plainville, and her great grandchildren, Brianna and Shannon Rose Cully, Megan, Emily and Shamus Rooney, Caroline Hajzak, Emma and Samuel Mobley. Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Paro and Victoria Buslewicz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Church, New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
