Mary Helen Aurigemma

Mary Helen Aurigemma, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Roger Aurigemma, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

Born in Hartford, Mary was the daughter of the late Richard Burg Sr. and Frances (Martin) Burg.  She graduated from Berlin High School 1971 and was employed at the Hartford Insurance Group for 51 years, retiring in 2023.  Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Church of East Berlin, and was a past president of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild.  Mary loved having parties for family and friends and watching her granddaughters play soccer, football and basketball.  She enjoyed horseracing, betting on the horses, swimming with dolphins, and trips to Disney World.

Surviving are her husband, Roger Aurigemma; her son, Krystopher Aurigemma and his wife Teresa; her grandchildren, Madisyn Aurigemma and Brooke Aurigemma; her sister, Barbara True and her husband Dale; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Naudus and her husband Al, and Paula Horn; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.  In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brother, Richard Burg Jr. and her niece, Shannon Horn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church of East Berlin.  Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
