Martha Arroyo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Martha Arroyo, who left us on January 10th, 2026, at the age of 68. Martha was not just a mother; she was the heart and soul of our family, a resilient woman whose love and nurturing spirit will forever be cherished and missed.

Raised in Puerto Rico, Martha's journey to this country was filled with determination and courage. As a single mother, she dedicated her life to providing for her eight children: Michael, Ellen, Meredy, Edmary, Ricky, Steven, Emanuel, and Jeanmari. She worked tirelessly, embodying the essence of hard work and perseverance, always placing the well-being of her children above all else. Her strength in overcoming life's challenges inspired her family and everyone who knew her.

Martha had a deep love for reading. Books were her escape, allowing her to explore distant worlds while also influencing her own. She was rarely seen without a novel in hand, and her children and grandchildren often found her in her favorite chair, lost in the pages of a good story. This love for literature inspired a similar passion in her family, fostering a legacy of curiosity and learning.

An extraordinary seamstress, Martha found joy in sewing. Her blankets, lovingly crafted with care, provided warmth not only in the physical sense but also as tokens of her affection. Each stitch carried a story or a memory, and her handmade creations will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family. Each blanket she crafted was a gift that comforted her loved ones, serving as a reminder of her unyielding love and dedication.

Martha’s passion for life extended beyond her family and crafts; she had a profound appreciation for nature, particularly flowers. Her garden was a sanctuary filled with vibrant blooms, each plant reflecting her personality—strong, beautiful, and full of life. The sight of her colorful flowers blossoming in the sun brought her immense joy and serenity, and she loved to share that beauty with her family and friends.

Martha's legacy is carried on by her 26 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She relished spending time with each of them, imparting wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love. She taught them the importance of family, hard work, and kindness, instilling values that will guide them throughout their lives.

As we remember Martha, we celebrate her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering support touched the lives of many, and her spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she influenced.
