Marsha L. (Brown) Kraft, 65, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Saturday. She was the beloved wife of Lucian L. Kraft, Jr. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late David and Jeannette (Beaupre) Brown. Marsha was a 1968 graduate of Plainville High School, where she played in various bands, sang in the chorus and performed in numerous musicals and plays. Music has always been a source of great joy for her. Marsha was a lifelong Plainville resident. She worked at the management level in various industries, including banking and retail. Marsha attended the Faith Bible Church in Plainville. She was an avid sports fan and a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jason and Kelly Kraft of Plainville, her daughter Jennifer Kraft of Plainville, her stepson Gary Kraft of Plainville, her brother and sister-in-law David L. and Dorothy Brown of Plainville, her two sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Edmund "Buzz" Helmecki of NC, Cheryl and John Welch of Boston, MA, her grandchildren Breanna, Josh, Zachary and Phoenix Kraft, Christian and Gentri Foster, TyShawn and Demari Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
