Mark Anthony Mullen

Mark Anthony Mullen, 49, of New Britain, beloved son, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 25, 2016.

Born in Waterbury, he was the son of Mary (Mullen) Gant of New Britain and John Baptiste of Waterbury.  Mark was a New Britain resident most of his life and graduated from New Britain High School.  He was a leader in his community, was involved with basketball in the Mount Pleasant Neighborhood, and was well known for mentoring youth in the community. “Marky” could brighten up your day with a joke which always left you smiling.

In addition to his mother Mary Gant and father John Baptiste, he is survived by three daughters, Talicia Sullivan, Markita Mullen and Jazmen Sullivan; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Casey Mullen, John Baptiste Jr. and Jermane Baptiste.  Survivors also include Domonique Sullivan and Marcus Sullivan, who recognized Mark as their dad, Melissa Gohagon who regarded Mark as a brother, and his best friend, Melody Lakes.
