Marion Gillotti

Marion (Visel) Gillotti, born in 1931 in Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully in West Hartford on January 28, 2025, after a short illness.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Gillotti and Catherine Gillotti Nelson, three cherished grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Jack P. Gillotti Jr.

Marion dedicated her career to public health as the Connecticut Director of Public Education for the American Cancer Society. She was especially proud of her work in breast cancer awareness and tobacco cessation efforts, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.

A woman of deep faith and sharp intellect, Marion loved God and found great fulfillment in thoughtful conversations about the Bible, current events, and history.   Whether walking the beaches of Maine and Rhode Island, exploring the outdoors, or simply enjoying the beauty of God's creation, Marion found peace and joy in the natural world. She adored all animals, especially her beloved dogs.

Her ashes will be interred at the Bethany Covenant Church Memorial Garden in the spring. Donations in her memory can be made to Humane Society.org.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
