Maria "Luz" Ramirez
Maria “Luz” Ramirez, age 85 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 9, 2019. She was born on July 24, 1934 in San German, PR. Maria was a woman of strength and faith and was loved by many. She came to the United States in 1990 and had been a resident of New Britain, CT ever since.
Maria is survived by her six sons, Norberto Santana, Angel Santana, Ivan Santana, Gerardo “Laly” Santana, Ramon “Ego” Santana, Gualberto “Pilon” Santana; seven daughters, Delia Santiago, Mildred Pabon, Miriam Rodriguez, Yolanda Santana, Marta Tirado, Maria “Lourdes” Ojeda, Carmen “Haydee” Rosado; thirty-one grandchildren; and thirty-one great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two sons Raymond “Junior” Pabon and Wilbert Santana.
Maria will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Calling hours will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St, New Britain, CT. Burial will be held in San German, PR.
