Maria A. Guzman

Maria A. Guzman, age 97, passed on June 28th, 2024 in Bristol, CT. Born in La Cieba, Honduras on December 22,1926, Maria spent her life nurturing her family, and tending to her plans and garden bringing warmth and beauty into the world. Maria is survived by her son, Miguel Canelas Guzman of Honduras, two daughters, Blanca Eliza Guzman and Irma A. Rosales; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one more grandchild expected this year. Maria was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend to many, and will be remembered for her exceptional cooking and love poured into her loved ones and garden.

A service to honor Maria's life will be held at Templo Fe (Faith Temple) located at 1019 Broad St., Hartford, CT on July 8th, 2024 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain. The Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of New Britain, CT is assisting the family along with Scott's Flowers of New Britain, CT for floral arrangements. Maria's warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

María A. Guzmán, 97 años, falleció el 28 de junio de 2024 en Bristol, CT. Nacida en La Cieba, Honduras el 22 de diciembre de 1926, María pasó su vida cuidando a su familia y cuidando sus planos y su jardín, trayendo calidez y belleza al mundo. A María le sobreviven su hijo, Miguel Canelas Guzmán de Honduras, dos hijas, Blanca Eliza Guzmán e Irma A. Rosales; junto con muchas sobrinas, sobrinos, nietos, bisnietos y un nieto más que se espera este año. María fue una querida madre, abuela y amiga de muchos, y será recordada por su cocina excepcional y el amor derramado por sus seres queridos y su jardín.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio en honor a la vida de María en el Templo Fe ubicado en 1019 Broad St. Hartford, CT el 8 de julio de 2024 a las 10 a.m. seguido de un entierro. La funeraria Erickson-Hansen de New Britain, CT está ayudando a la familia junto con Scott's Flowers of New Britain, CT para los arreglos florales.
