Maria F. Escobales

Maria F. Escobales, 76, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the widow of Herminio Escobales.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Virgilio and Margarita (Orengo) Torres.   Maria was a New Britain resident for over 50 years and was a member of St. Mary Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Maria Escobales of Jupiter, FL and Ariana Escobales and her husband Miguel Diaz of New Britain; a son, Juan Escobales of Miami, FL; two brothers, Luis Torres and Napoleon Torres; three sisters, Juanita DeLeon, Virgin Cummings, and Wilgermina Torres; her grandchildren, Kassandra Grundler, Aliyah Merced, Victoria Merced, Pricilla Escobales and Nikolas Merced; a great-granddaughter, Athena Escobales; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
