Maria R. Cistulli

Maria R. Cistulli, 94, formerly of New Britain, died on April 1, 2015 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Florida after moving to Florida in 2014. She was born February 15, 1921 in Turi, Italy. She came with her young son to live with her husband in New Britain, Connecticut in 1954. Her husband Vito predeceased her in 2005. She is survived by her son Peter Cistulli and his wife Marjorie who live in Bonita Springs. Maria worked for many years at American Bazaar in New Britain as a seamstress. Her great love and skill at gardening and cooking will be greatly missed. She also leaves behind two grandsons and their families: Christopher Cistulli (Anne) and Gregory Cistulli (Beth) and three great-grandsons Thomas, Andrew and Luca. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 9:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Church at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
