Margaret Patterson

Margaret Patterson, 82, of New Britain, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Anderson Basile. She was a life long New Britain resident and was formerly employed at the New Britain Herald. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Congregational. Surviving are her husband, Emery Patterson; a son Scott E. Patterson and his wife Stephanie of Southington; two brothers, Edward Basile and his wife Betty of Newington and Richard Basile of Bristol; a sister, Jean Gilbert of Kensington; a grandson, Tyler Patterson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Basile. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at First Church of Christ, Congregational, 830 Corbin Ave. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
