Margaret "Maggie" Bellini

Margaret " Maggie" Bellini, 100, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Aurora Senior Living in New Britain. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Nicola and Mary (Decrisanti) Bellini and was a lifelong New Britain resident. She was formerly employed as a seamstress at the New Britain Undergarment Factory and later as the housekeeper at St. Ann's Rectory before retiring. She was a devoted member of St. Ann's Church and was an avid Red Sox baseball fan. Surviving are two sisters, Ann Bellini and Lillian Bellini; a brother-in-law, Richard Macchietto; seven nieces and nephews, several grandnieces and grandnephews; several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; and a great great-grandnephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Sam Bellini, and by two sisters, Christine Macchietto and Rose Spinelli. The family would like to thank Masonic Care Hospice and the staff at Aurora Senior Living for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
