Malek Javae Larry Rose, 22, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2012. Born in New Britain, he was a graduate of New Britain High School, and was a life-long resident. He played baseball with the Fagan Baseball League and played football, both in the Pal Football League and for the Hurricanes at New Britain High School. Surviving are two daughters, Madison Rose and Meliyah Rose; his parents, Lois Brown of Hartford and Eddie Rose Jr. and his wife Janese Rose of Avondale, AZ; four brothers, Davon Rose of New Britain, Eddie Rose III of Enfield, Emanie Clemon of Waterbury, and Jakeem Lewis of New Britain; three sisters, Tamyra Brown of Manchester, Shanequa Jones of Springfield, and Tina Moore of New Britain; his grandparents, Eleanor Rosser, Lorena Rose, Eddie Rose Jr. and Diane Rose; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7-9 PM.
