Lydia Bulkeley Yost

Lydia Bulkeley Yost, 79, daughter of the late Philip and Anne (Bulkeley) Yost, died on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at Autumn Lake in New Britain.

Lydia attended school in West Hartford.  She then enlisted in the United States Navy where she served as a Hospital Corps Wave.  After the Navy she worked as a medical secretary in Hartford and volunteered with the Visiting Nurses Association of Hartford and with Hospice Nurses in New Britain.

Surviving are a brother, Andrew Yost of Pennsylvania and a sister, Martha Yost Newcomer of Missouri.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Philip Bulkeley Yost.

Funeral services will be private.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
