Lydia R. Rinaldi

Lydia Rinaldi, 91, of Unionville, entered into eternal rest with her loving daughter by her side. Formerly of New Britain, she worked as an assembler at Corbin Russwin for 38 years.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family.  She enjoyed her summer traditional trips to Puerto Rico to visit her birth home, playing slot machines at the casino, and above all helping and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her first born loving daughter, Lydia Jones and her husband Peter Jones of Farmington, her daughter Barbara Carlson of New Britain, her grandson Eric Doody of New Britain, her granddaughter Vicky Rivera and her husband Alberto Rivera of Unionville, and her granddaughter Natalie Jones of Farmington.  She also leaves her great grandchildren Aloria and Gabriel Rivera as well as Angelina and Rebecca Doody. She was predeceased by her loving son Christopher Rinaldi and her granddaughter Daphne D. Doody LCpl.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St Mary’s Church, 544 Main St. New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
